So sorry jammers! I just found out that the time zone I am in is:
Central Time Zone, in the United States of America (USA). US Central Standard Time (CST) is 6 hours behind Greenwich Mean Time (GMT-6).
And here is some information for my friend Wolfstar62867:
Pacific Time is 2 hours behind Central Time. Central Time is 2 hours ahead of Pacific Time. The mainland U.S. has four time zones (Alaska and Hawaii each have their own time zones, which makes a total of 6 different time zones for the U.S.). From west to east, the mainland U.S.'s time zones are: Pacific Time, Mountain Time, Central Time and Eastern Time. Each is one hour later than the last. For example, if it's 3 PM Pacific Time, then it's 4 PM Mountain Time, 5 PM Central Time and 6 PM Eastern Time.
And you can probably find the answer montyboy101, (with that and the information below) of what time it will be where you live, here you go:
Were it not for Daylight
Savings Time, New Zealand would be 20 hours ahead of Pacific Time. But New Zealand is on Daylight Savings Time when the U.S. is not, and the U.S. is on Daylight Savings Time when New Zealand is not (except for the few weeks when both are on Daylight Savings or Standard Time).
So, during the middle of the year (approximately March/April through September/November) New Zealand is 19 hours ahead of Pacific Daylight Time. During the rest of the year (approximately September/November through March/April), New Zealand is 21 hours ahead of Pacific Standard Time.
From September 26 (when New Zealand begins Daylight Savings) to November 7 (when New York ends Daylight Savings), and from March 14 (when Daylight Savings begins in New York) to April 4 (when it ends in New Zealand), New Zealand is 17 hours ahead of New York.
Also, New Zealand's Chatham Islands are 45 minutes ahead of the mainland. So the Chatham Islands are 19 hours and 45 minutes ahead of the Pacific Time Zone during the middle of the year, 21 hours and 45 minutes ahead of the Pacific Time Zone during the rest of the year, and 20 hours and 45 minutes ahead during the few weeks when both places are on Daylight Savings or Standard Time.
So, in
December, if it's 6 PM on Friday in California, it's 3 PM on Saturday in mainland New Zealand.
In July, if it's 6 PM Friday in California, then it's 1 PM Saturday in mainland New Zealand.
From September 26 to November 7, if it's 6 PM Friday in California, it's 2 PM Saturday in mainland New Zealand.
Also, from March 14 to April 4, if it's 6 PM Friday in California, it's 2 PM Saturday in mainland New Zealand.
So in the end, New Zealand is 21 hours ahead from my time zone, Central time. I hope this helps you all!!!
